What are smoke fans?
A smoke fan is a fan whose task is to operate under extreme heat conditions, usually in the event of a fire.
Smoke fans are a very important part of many of today’s safety systems in tunnels and buildings.
There are a variety of standards that smoke fans are classified within, it can e.g. be
- F200 Classification for operation at 200° C for 2 hours
- F300 Classification for operation at 300° C for 2 hours
- F400 Classification for operation at 400° C for 2 hours
