Gas-tight centrifugal fan according to the ATEX directive ensures that the process works.
We have delivered a gas-tight centrifugal fan for ATEX Zone 1 to a process industry in Ångermanland.
The industry is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of bio-based chemicals and fuels.
The fan works with nitrogen (nitrogen) with pressure from 200 to 220 kPa overpressure.
The fan is gas tight up to 350 kPa.
The temperature is estimated to reach 130°C and the fan is manufactured according to directive 97/23/EC (Pressure Equipment Directives), and ATEX directive 94/9/EC.
The fan has been pressure tested to 530 kPa and is equipped with a double mechanical/hydraulic seal.
The delivery took place in 2004 and the fan is manufactured by our partner Meidinger from Switzerland.
